Boss Fight — Ten Book Sorting Solution
Every bookshelf answer for the Bring Back The Sun Boss Fight castle library: Poetry, Historical, Sci-Fi, and Fantasy shelves with all ten titles (July 2026).
Why This Puzzle Blocks Most Players
The Boss Fight library is the longest single puzzle in Bring Back The Sun. Protocol: Anomaly hides ten books across two floors of a castle, then expects you to sort them into four genre shelves before the Old Key and Magic Wand appear. Community data from June–July 2026 shows more players quit here than at any numeric code door — not because the answer is random, but because one book hides behind the ground-floor statue and another only appears after riding the elevator to the wizard tower.
The July 2026 patch improved genre label visibility on the ground-floor clue wall. Shelf letters A through D now map clearly to Poetry, Historical, Fantasy (upstairs), and Science Fiction. Puzzle passwords elsewhere in the game did not change — only presentation and mobile obby polish elsewhere.
Rule one: collect all ten books before placing any. Rule two: fill Shelves A, B, and D downstairs first, then ride the platform up for Shelf C Fantasy. Rule three: after every shelf is correct, check behind the statue for the Old Key reward.
Bookshelf Category Chart
The wall clue and tower book together define four genres. Use title themes when a spine is ambiguous — poetry books sound lyrical, historical titles reference empires, sci-fi titles reference space or technology, and fantasy covers whatever remains after the other nine are assigned.
- Shelf A — Poetry (ground floor)
- Shelf B — Historical (ground floor)
- Shelf C — Fantasy (upstairs via elevator)
- Shelf D — Science Fiction (ground floor)
Shelf A — Poetry (2 books)
Place Verses of Midnight and Echoes of Heart on Shelf A. Both titles read like poem collections — midnight imagery and emotional verse keywords. If either book rejects, you likely grabbed a sci-fi spine with similar font color; compare the full title text.
Shelf B — Historical (2 books)
Shelf B accepts The Fall of Rome and Secrets of Pharaohs. These are the only empire-and-ancient-civilization titles in the set. Keep them paired — order between the two usually does not matter once both are Historical.
Shelf D — Science Fiction (3 books)
Shelf D takes Mars Colony, Neon Horizon, and Quantum Paradox. All three reference futuristic settings. This is the largest fixed shelf downstairs; completing D often helps you see which three titles remain for Fantasy upstairs.
Shelf C — Fantasy (3 books, upstairs)
After Shelves A, B, and D are filled, press the elevator button and carry the three remaining books to Shelf C upstairs. The game does not always print fantasy names on the clue board — identify them by elimination once Poetry, Historical, and Sci-Fi lists are satisfied. Mis-shelved fantasy books slide back out like other genres.
After Sorting — Old Key and Magic Wand
Correct sorting spawns the Old Key on a rock behind the ground-floor statue — not beside the shelves. Take the elevator up, unlock the chest, and equip the Magic Wand. Cast Harry after reading the inverted statue plaques, collect the nearby Potion, then proceed to Ignis and Fulgur in the hidden chamber. Our Boss Fight walkthrough covers the full castle route if you need earlier steps like arrow crafting.
