Wizard's House

Wizard's House is the first map every player sees. Set inside the wizard's domestic study and bedroom wings, it establishes Bring Back The Sun's core loop: read a clue, acquire a tool, unlock a space, enter a code. The bush key puzzle outside teaches that books explicitly name interactable targets. Inside, burning plants with a candle yields a green key, and the bedroom fruit bowls feed the code 14 through the spear clue's multiply-by-two instruction.

Tool progression runs scythe for spiderwebs, axe for crates, crowbar for the final cupboard. Difficulty is intentionally low—this is the tutorial tier. No relic drops here, but finishing unlocks Sinister Forest and sets expectations for every later keypad.

Sinister Forest

Sinister Forest moves puzzles outdoors among twisted trees, fertilizer plots, and elevated obby paths. The map rewards thorough perimeter searches: a starting book tells you the key hides in one specific bush cluster. Fertilizer bag counts and placement panels produce the 9898 keypad solution.

Completing Sinister Forest awards the Tear of the Forest relic. Arrow color boards here introduce vocabulary reused in Boss Fight. Expect more vertical movement than Wizard's House; mobile players should take obbies slowly to avoid fall resets.

Ancient Ruins

Ancient Ruins presents crumbled temples, levers, buckets, and irrigation channels leading to golden wheat fields. Players must activate water flows before wheat and wall tablets become readable. The map's reputation comes from code 882—three digits derived from multiple inscriptions that are easy to misread if you rush.

Success grants the Gift of the Ancient Grain. Ancient Ruins sits in the hardest puzzle tier alongside The Lava Temple even though it lacks lava hazards. Budget extra time and note every stone plaque text.

The Restaurant

The Restaurant map dresses puzzles as kitchen and dining service challenges. You gather Ancient Powder, Blue Flower, Milk, Blue Salt, and Cake from separate rooms, then insert them at a crafting station in that exact order. Wall charts encode the 1573 safe combination once you inspect the dining tallies.

The Shard of the Fallen Sun relic completes here. Difficulty is moderate: individual tasks are simpler than Ancient Ruins, but forgetting one ingredient sends you on long backtracks. Use the Recipe Order Helper tool to avoid sequence mistakes.

The Lava Temple

The Lava Temple surrounds a central pit with braziers, colored flames, and rotatable statues. Align flame hues to reference murals, orient statues toward the center, and enter the two-part safe code 211 then 8111 when prompted. Heat-themed set dressing signals that color matching matters more than raw platforming.

Burning Heart of the Earth is the Lava Temple relic. This map ties with Ancient Ruins for hardest individual puzzles—882 frustrates on math, while Lava Temple frustrates on multi-step environmental state. Both demand note-taking.

Boss Fight

Boss Fight is the wizard's arena and the only map without a new relic to earn. Instead, it checks four relics already collected and runs a gauntlet: obby paths, arrow-color target panels, sorting ten books into categories, and entering magic words Harry, Ignis, and Fulgur.

Complexity exceeds any single prior map because phases do not reset cleanly—you carry mistakes forward. It is the capstone of Bring Back The Sun and the reason map order and relic tracking matter from hour one.

Cross-Map Mechanics Recap

Several mechanics repeat across maps with rising stakes. Keypad codes appear in every map except Boss Fight. Tool gating—needing item A before object B becomes interactable—starts in Wizard's House and peaks in Ancient Ruins water levers. Color logic begins in Sinister Forest arrows, intensifies in Lava Temple flames, and culminates in Boss Fight panels.

Recipe or sequence ordering appears only in The Restaurant at full complexity, but the mindset applies to Lava Temple flame activation order and Boss Fight spell entry. Treat this recap as a study guide: if one map type consistently stalls you, drill that mechanic in an easier tier before retrying.
